How Bartus IT collects, uses and protects your personal data.

Last updated: 1 May 2026

Who we are

This site is operated by Bartus IT Solutions, MB (company code 306255911, VAT LT100016147810), a private limited liability company registered in Vilnius, Lithuania (“Bartus IT”, “we”, “us”).

We are the data controller responsible for any personal data processed through this website and through direct correspondence with us. Data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, “GDPR”) and the Law on Legal Protection of Personal Data of the Republic of Lithuania.

What we collect

This website is a marketing site. We collect and process the following:

  • Information you send us. If you contact us by email, phone or via LinkedIn, we receive whatever information you choose to share (typically your name, contact details and the content of your message).
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical information needed to deliver the site and protect it from abuse — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamps. These logs are retained for a short period and used only for operational and security purposes.
  • Analytics. If you accept the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how the site is used — pages viewed, traffic sources, approximate geography and device type. IP anonymisation is enabled. You can decline, in which case no analytics script or cookie loads at all. See the cookie policy for the specific cookies and how to withdraw consent.

Why we process it

  • To respond to enquiries. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in replying to people who reach out (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and, where applicable, taking steps prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • To deliver and protect the website. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a stable, secure site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • To meet legal obligations (e.g. accounting, tax) where they apply (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers acting as processors on our behalf — for example our hosting provider, email provider and accounting provider — and only to the extent necessary for them to provide their service. Each processor is bound by appropriate confidentiality and data processing terms.

We may also disclose information where required by law or to defend our legal rights.

International transfers

Our processors may operate within the European Economic Area (EEA) or in third countries. Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards as required by GDPR (typically Standard Contractual Clauses). In particular, Google Analytics data may be transferred to the United States; Google maintains the safeguards required under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected. Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within a reasonable period. Data tied to an active client engagement is retained for the duration of the engagement and the period required by law thereafter (typically up to 10 years for accounting records).

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

  • request access to the personal data we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate data;
  • ask us to delete your data, subject to legal obligations;
  • restrict or object to certain processing;
  • request data portability;
  • withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, write to info@bartusit.com. We aim to reply within one month.

If you believe we have mishandled your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Lithuanian State Data Protection Inspectorate (vdai.lrv.lt).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices change or to keep it accurate. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
